First, does it really hrut as much as everyone says?
Second, how much would it cost in a small floridian town?’
Third, do they give you like a book filled with pictures of nose to choose from or something? do you find a picture or something?
Fourth, what is the legal age for nose surgery?
Fifth, whats the real name for ‘nose surgery’?

I feel your pain. I am wanting a nose job really bad also.
Yes it hurts, it hurts really bad.
It can cost anywhere from$ 5,000- $25,000 depending on which surgeron you go to.
You can not pick out your nose, the surgeon has to work with what you have. You have to have realistic expectations.
The legal age is around 15 with parental consent.
Rhinoplasty.

I am currently recovering from nasal surgery. I had a septoplasty, and bunch of other things done to help me breathe better, not to change the way my nose looks. To be frank, it hurts!!!!! Everyone’s experience will differ, but for me, this has been the most agonizing week of my life. I’m taking Darvocet, Extra Strength Tylenol, and steroids for swelling. I was violently ill from anesthesia, and today is the first day I could even sit up (6 days post surgery). Two days ago, I had the packing removed, and it was, by far, the single most painful experience of my life.

Think seriously if surgery is worth it. Hopefully you’ll be luckier than I have been. It’s good you’re doing research. Just remember pain will be a part of it no matter what.

Sorry I can only answer one question, but the real name for nose surgery is "Rhinoplasty". You can google it to find out lots more about the questions you’re asking.

Prior to considering Rhinoplasty here are 5 things you must know:

1) The nose is made up of skin, cartilage and bone. The shape of the nose is mainly determined by the size of the cartilage and bone. During rhinoplasty, these structures are "sculpted" in order to improve the appearance of the nose.

2) There are 2 basic ways to perform rhinoplasty: There is an open technique and a closed (endonasal) technique. The main difference is that in the open technique there is a very small incision at the base of the nose that is well concealed and rarely noticeable. The method used depends upon the surgeons preference and/or the type of alterations required.

3) The appearance of the nose is closely related to its function. This must be kept in mind when performing surgery. A well functioning nose is just as important as a beautiful nose, both can be achieved.

4) Be sure to tell your doctor if you have any difficulty breathing before surgery. This can be corrected during a rhinoplasty procedure, and may be made worse if not addressed.

5) Not all plastic surgeons are the same, especially for noses. Be sure to choose a plastic surgeon who is experienced in rhinoplasty.

I can only answer a few of those, I have a cleft nose and I’ve had many..

1. It really depends on the person.. some people think it hurts, and some don’t. I will admit its not the most comfortable feeling in the world, but its not that bad.
3. Some give you a book, some don’t.
4. Idk if your state has any age limit but I live in Louisiana and I had surgery on my nose when I was 3 and I am 12, and I’ve had one last summer.

Hope that helped.

i dont know how you choose your noise exactly but some doctors show you an simulator image of your future noise and you choose among them which fits you best

I’m a good person to talk to because I had my nose done when I was 18 and again at 26. Here’s the answers to your questions and I’ll tell you more about my own experience.
#1. It doesn’t hurt much. You won’t feel anything during the procedure and you’ll just mostly feel sore and you’ll be sleepy anyways from painkillers they will give you.
#2. I have no idea about the cost now. I would recommend that you not go necessarily to a doctor in a small town but rather to a doctor that is affiliated with a large university medical center.

These sites should help you decide better on what you want to do. And don’t forget that no matter how much plastic surgery that you have that if you are unhappy "inside", you will never be happy with the way you look. I’m not saying don’t get it done though. You need to write a list of pro’s and con’s and see which is stronger.
#3. They can show you "before" and "afters" in books most doctors have but nowadays, they can actually show you be computer imaging what they can do and how your nose should lok after the procedure.
#4. You have to be 18 to have the procedure unless you have parental consent and then you can get it done younger. I don’t see a problem with 16 as your nose is pretty much done growing by then.
#5. It’s called rhinoplasty.
I was very unhappy with my nose too. It had a hump in it and I felt super self-concious all the time. It looked okay from the front but bad from the side. I thought I looked like a witch. I hated it! I was too eager to get it done so I just settled for the first doctor I saw in my small town. I had it done and while it looked better, I still wasn’t happy with it. I dealt with it for some time and then decided to have the surgery again. This time I really researched doctors and found a great one that worked out of the University of Chicago in Illinois. He told me that I would only be have to have the procedure this one time or else I’d risk my nose actually collapsing. I am still not 100% happy with my nose but it does look a lot better than before the surgeries. The hump is gone but it does look a bit long and narrow now. You have to be prepared that it may not turn out like you expected and please, do your research. Start by reading these for some advice:
